Job Summary
Supervise youth with emotional and behavioral issues, including those displaying aggression, during educational, leisure, and daily activities to ensure safety and accountability. Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to align client care with treatment goals while providing social and emotional support for skill-building in daily living, social interaction, and coping strategies. Adhere to Handle With Care (HWC) protocols, including physical restraint when necessary, and model appropriate social behaviors to support conflict resolution. Work weekends from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Requires a high school diploma or degree plus relevant experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and successful completion of comprehensive background checks and drug screening.
Required Qualifications
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening as a condition of employment, in accordance with Colorado Department of Human Services regulations for childcare facilities. This screening includes initial and ongoing state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, sex offender registry searches, and abuse and neglect clearances.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Qualified Medication Administration Personnel Certification (QMAP), or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- CPR/First Aid Certifications, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Desired Qualifications
- A 4-year college degree and at least one (1) year of relevant experience is preferred; however, the following substitutions will be considered
- A high school diploma or equivalent plus at least two (2) years of experience in the human services field.
- A high school diploma or equivalent plus 30 semester hours of college credit and at least one (1) year of relevant experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Two years of college preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to work with sensitivity to the cultural and/or socioeconomic diversity of the agency's clients and staff.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and trust.
