Job Summary

Supervise residents in all daily aspects of the residential program, including assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and household duties like laundry and meal preparation. Lead group activities, coordinate daily schedules, and transport residents to medical appointments and recreational outings. Act as a liaison with care providers and case workers, while administering medications and ensuring proper documentation of medical, behavioral, and physical changes. Redirect inappropriate behavior, maintain complete program records, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on resident metrics. Provide coverage for shifts and hours as needed, while participating in continuing education and collaborative meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • Age 18 or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • TB screening
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Proxy Caregiver certification
  • Valid Georgia driver's license
  • Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Report)
  • Live within commuting distance of the NAMI facility, group home, and duplex
  • Proficient computer/office equipment skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Critical listening and thinking skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to operate a motorized vehicle
  • Reliable transportation

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Non-Profit experience
  • Experience working with the mentally ill
  • Minimum one-year experience in healthcare/insurance/caregiving
