Mental Health Technician - (MHT) - Unit #4 Evenings - 7 on / 7 off

Assist with patient care and clerical tasks to support the therapeutic milieu in a behavioral health unit. Responsibilities include obtaining initial information and vital signs, guiding unit orientation, documenting observations, assisting with lab specimen collection, facilitating patient groups and activities, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality, responding to changes in patient condition, and supporting crisis intervention and safety procedures (Code Green). Must maintain composure in a dynamic environment, provide therapeutic communication, and assist with discharge processes and nursing tasks as directed. Eligible candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, and may have preferred education such as an Associates Degree; position involves care for child/adolescent patients (and adult/geriatric if PRN), with emphasis on teamwork, confidentiality, and adherence to patient safety guidelines.
