Job Summary
Accurately record vital signs, exercise judgment in patient interactions to report changes to the RN, and follow therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team. Employ crisis-intervention techniques, conduct MHT-led groups, and use facility-approved CPI techniques. Assist patients through discharge, guide them in adjusting to life changes, and help with personal hygiene while complying with policies for a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment. This Fulltime role offers a compensation range of $18.00 - $25.00 hourly. High School Degree or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred; one year of related experience with psychiatric patient care techniques required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant
- Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline
- One year of related experience
- knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques
- understanding of mental illness
- May be required to work overtime and flexible hours
