Mental Health Technician

Job Summary
Provide support in crisis residential and crisis respite units for individuals with mental health needs. Establish rapport with clients, complete administrative intake forms and 15-minute observation logs, accompany clients to meals and breaks, facilitate daily psychosocial groups, assist in discharge processes, and provide safe transportation as needed. Maintain client confidentiality, document in the electronic health record, and work as part of an interdisciplinary team. Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license with up-to-date liability insurance, reliable transportation, and sobriety if in recovery. Duties also include de-escalation, trauma-sensitive care, and ongoing communication with supervisors during crises.
Required Qualifications

- Driver's license and liability insurance
- OK with transporting clients in company vehicle
- Comfort with trauma-exposed population
- Ability to work in crisis residential and respite settings
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Willingness to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends
- Experience with or ability to learn electronic health records
