Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect care for patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting, assist in de-escalation and safety efforts, model effective problem-solving and coping skills, and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull 25 pounds, occasional travel, and a valid driver’s license. Two pay levels (Level I and Level II) with hourly rates $14.10 and $15.28 plus shift differentials; non-exempt status. Posted for Griffin Memorial Hospital Annex in Oklahoma City; hours include early mornings through evenings with potential for overtime and weekend/holiday pay.
Required Qualifications
- Level II requires 1 year of behavioral health patient care experience
- Strong commitment to patient well-being and safety
- Must believe that recovery is possible
- Must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel and have a valid driver’s license
- Physical ability to occasionally lift/carry 50 pounds and push/pull up to 25 pounds
- FD PEP drug testing for safety-sensitive position (urinalysis)
- Work hours may vary including weekends and overtime
