Job Summary
Assess patient behavior, escort individuals, and interact continuously throughout the shift while conducting direct observation rounds to document actions. Model and teach appropriate life skills, orient patients to the unit, and assist with daily living skills to maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment. Provide physical restraint or intervention when appropriate, with training supplied. This entry-level role supports youth in Perimeter Behavioral's inpatient psychiatric hospitals and residential treatment centers. Full-time positions require a 4 days on/2 days off rotation, with hours ranging from 7:00 am to 7:00 am depending on the shift.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent
- At least one (1) year of related experience in a assisted living, residential, or hospital setting
- Must be able to work a rotation of 4 days on/2 days off
- Hours will be Days: 7:00 am-3:00pm, Evening: 3:00pm-11:00pm, Overnight: 11:00 pm-7:00 am
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, push and pull to perform restraints
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Desired Qualifications
- educational or work experience in psychology, human service, nursing, or social work environments
- Psychiatric experience
- (1) year experience as a Corpsman in the Military
