Job Summary
Conduct daily personal care tasks including dressing, bathing, toileting, and shaving for consumers with mental health crises. Administer medication, prepare meals, and transport individuals while assisting with self-care routines. Plan community outings and social integration activities to support consumer independence. Follow individual service plans and utilize behavioral support programs to maintain dignity. Perform essential duties such as lifting up to 50 lbs and communicating basic English. Work the 2nd shift with a $1.50/hr weekend differential. Join Aurora Community Services, an employee-owned organization providing customized residential support for over 40 years.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- Acceptable Background Character Verification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to twist, turn, squat, bend, reach, pull, push from high/low position
- Must be able to raise arms above shoulder
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to sit (chair and floor)
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to use hands and fingers
- Communicate basic English
- Basic reading, writing, and internet navigation skills

- Experience with adults with disabilities preferred
