Job Summary
Provide consistent supervision of students to ensure safety, accountability, and well-being while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to maintain consistency in client care and treatment goals. Assist clients in skill-building activities including social skills, life skills, and anger management, and participate in Handle With Care intervention protocols as needed. Transport clients per agency request and serve as a mandatory reporter for any concerns regarding client welfare or safety. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Griffith Centers supports youth with emotional, behavioral, and educational needs through a values-driven culture focused on psychological and physical safety.
Required Qualifications
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening as a condition of employment, in accordance with Colorado Department of Human Services regulations for childcare facilities. This screening includes initial and ongoing state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, sex offender registry searches, and abuse and neglect clearances.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one with a clean motor vehicle record.
- CPR/First Aid Certifications, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Colorado substitute teacher's license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Qualified Medication Administration Personnel Certification (QMAP), or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Desired Qualifications
- A 4-year college degree and at least one (1) year of relevant experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent plus at least two (2) years of experience in the human services field
- A high school diploma or equivalent plus 30 semester hours of college credit and at least one (1) year of relevant experience
