Mental Health Technician (Casual Part-Time)

Job Summary
Provide continuity of care for residents at Our Place, an 18-bed Community-Based Residential Facility, by following Individual Service Plans and maintaining positive supportive relationships. Implement house rules, policies, and schedules while logging emergency hospital use, doctor appointments, and prescriptions. Offer emotional support to adults with mental health and emotional issues experiencing difficulty in independent living. Work shifts from 2:00PM to 10:00PM with a rotating on-call schedule. Maintain certification for medication administration, CPR, First Aid, and fire safety.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid Wisconsin Driver's License with acceptable driving record
- Ability to work with a diverse population in ways that are accepting, culturally competent, non-judgmental, supportive, and empowering
- Respect for individuals of diverse socio-economic status, race, and ethnicity
- Ability to manage a flexible schedule with the ability to be on-call as needed
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
- Certification for medication administration
- CPR and First Aid certification
- CBRF Fire Safety certification
Desired Qualifications
- CBRF training
- Experience working with chronically mentally ill individuals
