Job Summary
Join our team as a Mental Health Technician on the Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit, where you’ll assist patients with daily activities and provide direct care under nursing supervision. Responsibilities include keeping a supportive and safe environment, handling clerical and clinical tasks, and using compassion to help patients. Required qualifications include a high school diploma, BCLS certification within designated time, and specific training or experience related to Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP). Preferred candidates will have experience in patient care and mental health.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must obtain BCLS certification within 120 days of hire
- Clearance through the Family Care Registry
- Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management, or Educators
- Department orientation with classroom and clinical training equivalent to Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) regulations
- Must meet specific background criteria as listed for UAPs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ambulation, feeding, etc.)
- Previous mental health experience
- BCLS certification
