Job Summary
Mental Health Technician (MHT) will work under RN supervision to provide continuous care, supervision, and positive role modeling for patients across age groups. Responsibilities include recording vital signs, exercising judgment in patient interactions, following therapeutic interventions, employing crisis-intervention techniques, leading MHT-led groups, using CPI techniques, assisting with discharge, guiding adjustments to life changes, and helping with personal hygiene. Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment by following universal precautions and prioritizing patient care. Requires High School education; CNA/NAR certification; degree in related therapeutic discipline is preferred. Full-time position in Plainfield, IN with compensation of $20.00-$24.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent preferred
- Certified Nursing or NAR required
- Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy, psychology, human services, or appropriate therapeutic discipline preferred
