Job Summary
Provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the RN for patients across age groups in a hospital behavioral health setting. Performs psychosocial interventions, assists with activities of daily living, and facilitates/co-facilitates therapeutic groups and activities. Supports nursing staff in care planning, data collection, and documentation; monitors patient safety and participates in clinical operations (including meal supervision, patient education, and adverse event reporting). Maintains patient and family education within scope of practice and assists with clerical duties as needed. Requires vaccination compliance and E-Verify participation. Required certifications include CPI/TEAM (or TEAM-A) and BLS (AHA/ARC).
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or TEAM-A
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS
