Job Summary
Conduct patient observation and safety monitoring, including Q15 checks, line-of-sight observation, and environmental safety rounds within the Acute Treatment Unit. Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges by orienting individuals, securing belongings, and completing documentation. Assist with activities of daily living, including hygiene, grooming, and nutritional support, while utilizing verbal de-escalation techniques for crisis stabilization. Facilitate psychoeducational groups, obtain vital signs, and perform routine housekeeping and sanitation tasks. Complete observation records, incident reports, and group notes in the electronic medical record. Participate in required meetings, training, and supervision to maintain a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to complete and apply Handle With Care physical management techniques as required for the ATU setting
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field preferred
