Job Summary
Provide high-quality care to hospitalized patients with psychiatric or emotional disorders while supporting a therapeutic milieu. Communicate constantly with nursing staff and participate in patient plans of care as assigned. Maintain excellent communication skills, listen actively, and manage multiple tasks with strong time management. Perform physical duties including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for sustained periods, and performing repetitive motions. Work the night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. as a full-time employee. Pass background check, drug screen, and physical; CPR and SAMA training required. Join Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute's 118-bed acute care facility serving adults, teens, and seniors. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR certification
- SAMA certification
- Must successfully pass background check
- Must successfully pass drug screen
- Must successfully pass physical
- Must provide positive employment references
- Must be able to stoop
- Must be able to kneel
- Must be able to crouch
- Must be able to reach
- Must be able to stand for sustained period of time
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to lift, raise and move objects from position to position (up to 50 lbs.)
- Must be able to finger grasp
- Must be able to feel sizes, shapes, temperatures, and textures
- Must be able to express or exchange ideas orally and potentially loudly, accurately, or quickly
- Must be able to visually detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, assess
- Must be able to perceive the nature of sound with or without correction
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions of the wrist, hands, or fingers

Desired Qualifications
- Clinical experience preferred in a behavioral healthcare setting
- Experience in a free standing psychiatric hospital preferred
