Job Summary
Mental Health Technician provides patient care in psychiatric units, assists with daily activities, monitors safety, and maintains a therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include de-escalating aggressive behavior, conducting safety checks, and ensuring accurate documentation of patient status and interventions. Requires strong communication, ability to build rapport with patients, knowledge of geriatric and adult needs, and ability to move/lightly lift patients; must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force. Education required is High School diploma or GED; college hours are a plus, with one year of relevant experience desirable.
Required Qualifications

- One year relevant experience in psychiatric/addictive disease treatment facility desirable
