Job Summary
Provide care services related to scheduled unit activities and treatment plans, including recreational, art, media, self-expression, and physical exercise. Assist patients and staff with ambulation, transfers, repositioning, and activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming. Measure, obtain, record, and report vital signs, weight, intake and output, and glucometer testing while monitoring patients based on assigned safety precautions. Requires high school diploma or GED, one year of healthcare provider experience, and CPR certification. Full-time role with Methodist Hospitals.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to clearly communicate with the multidisciplinary team members
- Post high school education
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent General Studies
- One (1) year of work experience as a healthcare provider
- Healthcare/Medical knowledge
- Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation
- Knowledge of procedures for protecting and maintaining security, confidentiality and integrity of employee, patient, family, organizational and other medical information
- Understanding of federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations governing ethical business practices for healthcare providers
