Job Summary
Provide leadership and clinical support to a team of case managers while delivering therapeutic engagement and intensive case management to street homeless clients with severe persistent mental illness in the Skid Row area. Conduct daily outreach and assessments to identify, engage, and connect individuals to emergency care, medical services, psychiatry, and housing. Model trauma-informed interventions and harm reduction approaches to address co-occurring disorders, severe medical needs, and high-risk substance use. Serve as the team's mental health consultant, facilitate daily huddles and weekly meetings, and ensure accurate documentation to meet outcome measures. Maintain the highest quality of team operations and client safety through timely referrals and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D., Psy.D., Master of Social Work (MSW), or Master of Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT)
- Hours available for this position for unlicensed candidates
- Those who will complete a clinical masters program within the next 12 mos may also be eligible for this role
- A clinician who is registered and in good standing with Board of Behavioral Sciences
- Current, valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
- Able to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification

- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, twist
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 35 lbs
- Regularly walking distances over uneven surfaces and in encampment areas
- Working in busy, loud, and chaotic environment
- Exposed to elements like cold, heat, noise and odor
- Exposure to clients with severe medical and hygiene needs
