Job Summary
Conduct recovery-focused sessions with clients, co-creating support plans and goals while using coaching and motivational interviewing to explore barriers. Support clients from initial assessment through to facilitating access to other mental health services, delivering targeted support in Southdown buildings and community locations. Travel across neighbourhoods to offer accessible services, utilizing a dynamic approach to risk assessment and removing barriers to care. Work until 8pm at least one night a week as part of a 25-hour week. Southdown is a leading provider of mental health services in Sussex, committed to transforming access for people across East Sussex.
Required Qualifications
- a good understanding of working in mental health or equivalent transferable skills
- a genuine passion for supporting people to explore their needs
- an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting clients experiencing mental health challenges, including those in crisis and/or facing complex challenges
