Job Summary
Provide clinical and administrative supervision for case management, peer support specialists, and Community Support Services therapists while overseeing unit operations and service delivery for Saginaw County Community Mental Health Authority. Monitor employee clinical practice, review records, and coordinate service delivery across agencies and internal programs. Screen and select staff, provide orientation and training, and develop policies ensuring compliance with the I-Spa Waiver and CCBHC standards. Facilitate monthly staff meetings, individual supervision sessions, and leadership meetings to ensure appropriate resource utilization and policy implementation. Collaborate with medical professionals to assure whole-person care and assist staff with residential placement monitoring and behavioral treatment plan development.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in a mental health related field from an accredited school
- Valid Michigan Driver's license with a good driving record
- A limited licensed master's social worker (LLMSW), licensed master's social worker (LMSW), limited licensed professional counselor (LLPC), licensed professional counselor (LPC), limited licensed marriage and family therapist (LLMFT), licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), limited licensed psychologist (LLP) and licensed psychologist (LP)
- A minimum of three (3) years relevant professional clinical experience, in mental health treatment programs, serving adults with serious mental illness
- Previous supervisory experience in a clinical mental health or related organization
- Previous administrative experience
- Ability to provide clinical leadership
- Knowledge and ability to demonstrate person centered planning practices
- General business skills and ability to manage a budget
- Computer competency, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet, E-mail
- Ability to plan and organize work of self and staff and provide group leadership
- Effective oral and written communication skills, minimum at college level
- Ability to organize and maintain data and information
- Problem solving and mediation abilities, including ability to effectively manage personnel
- Ability to maintain favorable public relations and provide community leadership
- Ability to exercise independent and mature judgment
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Hearing acuity to converse in person and on telephone
- Visual acuity to observe consumers behavior, read and proofread documents and use EHR and other electronic devices
- Ability to walk, stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Manual dexterity to write and to operate standard office equipment (PC, Keyboard, Copy Machine, Fax Machine, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry files and supplies at least 20 pounds
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with leadership, employees, consumers and the general public
- Analytical skills necessary to conduct research, analyze, and interpret complex data and identify and solve problems by proposing courses of action
- Ability to plan short and long range and to manage and schedule time
- Ability to handle stress in meeting deadlines and dealing with large numbers of employees and/or consumers
- Requires travel to multiple locations, sometimes in bad weather
