Job Summary
Provide individual and family support services in accordance with individualized plans, including referrals, advocacy, linkage, case management, support groups, educational services, transportation, home management assistance, recreational activities, and behavioral interventions. Effectively engage with assigned clients while maintaining appropriate boundaries, manage a flexible community-based schedule, and complete all required documentation within agency standards. Act as an active member of assigned treatment teams and meet service percentage standards reflecting expected time spent with clients. Maintain a valid California driver's license, personal automobile insurance, and clean driving record to travel up to 100 miles, while being physically and mentally fit to perform tasks such as pro-active restraint techniques, CPR, and first aid.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a behavioral science (Psychology, Sociology, Social Work)
- Must possess a valid California driver's license
- personal automobile insurance
- clean driving record
- Must be physically and mentally fit
- Must be willing to complete a Tuberculosis (TB) and drug screening test
- Must be willing to complete a personal background investigation conducted by the State of California
- Must be flexible to work a varying schedule according to operational needs
- Must be able to work in an office or outdoor environment including standing, walking, and running, sitting for extended periods of time, bending, twisting, reaching, balancing, occasional carrying and lifting up to 25 pounds and up to 10 pounds frequently
- Must be physically able to perform Pro-Act Restraint Techniques
- Must be physically able to perform CPR
- Must be physically able to perform First Aid as trained
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in a vehicle for traveling up to 100 miles driving distance
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working with children, youth and/or families preferred
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
