Job Summary
Mental Health Specialists deliver direct care services under supervision, ensuring compassionate and culturally sensitive care for residents. Primary responsibilities include maintaining clinical activity attendance, fostering a positive living environment, implementing treatment plans, and participating in treatment team meetings. Prospective candidates should be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field or have equivalent work experience while demonstrating strong communication, conflict resolution, and social skills.

- Pursuing a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in a mental health-related field
- Bachelor’s degree student pursuing a graduate degree in a mental health-related field with two completed courses
- High school degree or GED with two years experience providing direct services in relevant settings
- Strong sense of personal authority, maturity and integrity
- Effective communication skills, verbally and in writing, in diverse settings
- Skilled in conflict resolution and mediation
- Strong verbal and social skills for use with residents and staff
- Commitment to the protection of confidential information
- Strong work ethic and willingness to commit to significant job responsibilities
- Flexibility to function in demanding position
