Job Summary
The Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet School seeks a School Mental Health Specialist to lead and support SEL initiatives using the RULER framework, plan SEL lessons and interventions, collaborate to integrate SEL across classrooms, implement restorative practices, participate in MTSS teams, provide individual and group counseling, partner with families, assist with crisis intervention and threat assessment, and contribute to creating safe, inclusive learning environments while maintaining compliance with state and federal requirements. The ideal candidate will have CT certifications (071 School Social Worker, 068 School Counselor, or 070 School Psychologist) and a Master’s degree in a related field, with experience in SEL programs, restorative practices, MTSS, and collaborative, equity-focused school mental health work.
Required Qualifications
- Connecticut certification in 071 School Social Worker OR 068 School Counselor OR 070 School Psychologist
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
