Mental Health RN

RN provides comprehensive, patient-centered care across a diverse behavioral health population, including Adolescent Psychiatry, General Adult, Geriatric Psychiatry, Mood Disorders, and Transitional Youth, with responsibilities that include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care; supervising non-RN staff; serving as charge nurse when assigned; coordinating patient care activities; and supporting multiple units as needed. The role emphasizes neuro-focused care, neuro assessment, airway management for neuro patients, pharyngeal, endotracheal, and tracheostomy suctioning, and care of patients on ventilators; familiarity with the Tia teaching program and education after discharge; and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure quality outcomes.
