Job Summary
Mental health rehabilitation worker provides rehabilitative mental health services per the recipient's treatment plan under supervision. Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, consulting with mental health professionals, delivering trauma-informed and person-centered care, completing skill-building interventions, closely monitoring residents, conducting hourly room checks, performing fire and severe weather drills, and maintaining safe access to medications. Requires high school diploma or equivalent (with potential for additional qualifications such as an associate degree or RN) and eligibility per DHS guidelines; position is based in Fergus Falls, MN with in-person duties on an overnight shift.
Required Qualifications

- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Meets the standards for Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker per DHS guidelines (A or B criteria)
- A. Have an associate of arts degree in one of the behavioral sciences or is a registered nurse without a bachelor’s degree, or within the previous 10 years has: Three years personal life experience with serious mental illness; Three years of personal life experience as primary caregiver to an adult with a serious mental illness or brain injury; 2000 hours supervised paid work experience in the delivery of mental health services to adults with a serious mental illness or brain injury. B. Is fluent in a non-English language or competent in a culture of an ethnic group to which at least 20 percent of recipients belong, and has 18 hours of documented field supervision etc.
