Job Summary
Conduct clinical chart reviews, approvals, and denials of documentation for Medi-Cal mental health programs while ensuring compliance with all regulations and laws. Prepare for regulatory audits and provide feedback and trend analysis based on note writing standards. Track documentation certification processes, collaborate on corrective action plans, and contribute to the Internal Utilization Committee. Prepare summary audit reports containing findings, methodology, and recommendations for improvement. Review and approve progress notes as appropriate. Hybrid 3/2 schedule after a 90-day introductory period.
Required Qualifications
- BA required for non BBS registered
- Minimum 4 years experience in social services
- Experience with HIPAA, Medi-Cal, Community Care Licensing (CCL), and medical billing
- Demonstrated intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Ability to type 45 wpm
- Valid California driver's license
- Personal vehicle
- Proof of personal vehicle insurance coverage
- Ability to drive for work
- DMV printout
