Job Summary
The Mental Health PRP Counselor is responsible for assessing client needs, providing supported living services, supportive counseling, skills enhancement, and crisis intervention to enhance rehabilitation plans for youth and adult clients. This role requires a compassionate communicator with a degree in a health-related field or relevant direct care experience. Key responsibilities include developing treatment plans, performing crisis intervention, maintaining client documentation, and participating in monthly team meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate with compassion and empathy
- Passion for making an impact on the lives of those who need it
- Excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills
- Sensitivity to and understanding of cultural diversity and the special needs population
- A degree in a health related field OR 30 hours toward a health related field
- One year of direct care experience in a supervised mental health setting
