Mental Health Provider, Access Specialist (LCSW)

Mental Health Provider, Access Specialist delivers integrated mental health services to UW–Madison students through UW-Madison’s University Health Services. Direct service (50-60%) focuses on access appointments by phone and in person, risk assessment, service evaluation, collaborative decision making, and may include brief interventions; supports care management and referrals to community resources, insurance navigation, and advocacy. Administrative duties (40-50%) include accurate documentation, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, program development for access/triage and care management, adherence to policies (HIPAA/FERPA), meetings, and professional development. The role supports provision of individual, couples, and group therapies, crisis intervention as needed, and coordination with campus partners to meet student needs. Licensing requirements are confirmed during the interview process, with emphasis on independent licensure in Wisconsin (LCSW) or eligible AP SW candidates with hours toward licensure.
