Job Summary
Part-time Mental Health Promotion Officer to lead and deliver community-wide mental health promotion initiatives across Wellington and East Gippsland (Sale or Bairnsdale base). Responsibilities include implementing evidence-based mental health promotion practices, developing and evaluating complex health promotion initiatives, delivering education programs, and maintaining links with service providers to support carers. Requires registration in RN Division 1 with MH qualification OR OT OR Psychologist OR Social Worker (AASW eligible), at least 5 years post-qualification experience, strong communication skills, and a current driver’s licence; working with children check and police check/flu vaccination as applicable. Role supports a 0.6 EFT across regional communities with LRH offering flexible, supportive employment conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Registration as one of the following: Registered Nurse Division 1 (with postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing) OR Occupational Therapist (AHPRA registered) OR Psychologist (AHPRA registered) OR Social Worker (eligible for AASW membership)
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience within mental health services
- Current driver’s licence
- Ability to engage with families and stakeholders
- Desirable: postgraduate studies in health promotion or equivalent, health promotion/communication qualifications, teaching qualifications, instructor status & licence to deliver MHFA courses
- Ability to work across regional Victoria and in community settings
