Job Summary
Develop and implement treatment and therapeutic programs for assigned detainees while providing direct casework services and individual or group counseling. Conduct diagnosis and evaluation tests to establish goals, make referrals to contract professionals, and prepare progress reports with recommendations regarding discharge plans. Assume independent clinical responsibility for all detainees, applying crisis intervention techniques including suicide prevention and recognizing abnormal behavior to prevent or diffuse potentially disruptive situations. Maintain confidentiality of files, audit documentation, and monitor completion of therapeutic programs while performing CPR in emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in counseling or related field
- Current Unrestricted license in the state of New Mexico (LPCC, LCSW, LMFT)
- Valid driver's license in the state of New Mexico or Texas with an acceptable driving record
- Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must be available for crisis on-call duties as needed
- Regular and reliable attendance
