Job Summary
The Mental Health Professional II at Turning Point of Central California provides intensive mental health clinical services, including direct treatment and case management for clients with Serious Mental Illness (SMI). Key responsibilities include delivering therapeutic services in both individual and group settings, documenting services to meet compliance standards, and participating in clinical consultations. Candidates should hold a master's degree and be licensed or pursuing licensure in related fields, with strong communication skills and experience in handling SMI and co-occurring disorders. Compliance with training and reporting standards is required.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed in the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
- A Master’s degree in behavioral health science with current registration with the Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) or an Associate Social Worker (ASW)
- Current certified training in emergency first aid procedures and CPR, preferred
- Communicate effectively in written and spoken English
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and TB test
- Ability to be part of an after-hours on-call crisis rotation (phone only)
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of best practices regarding the treatment of clients with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) and Dual-Diagnosis individuals
- Experience with co-occurring substance use disorders and treatment modalities
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, Office 365, Teams, Zoom and other communication platforms
