Job Summary
The Mental Health Professional is responsible for providing clinical mental health services, direct treatment, and case management to clients. The role requires maintaining a client caseload, adhering to reporting laws for various types of abuse, and documenting services to meet clinical and state requirements. The candidate should be skilled in working with individuals and groups, and possess experience with substance use disorders. Additionally, the position requires communication in Spanish and/or Hmong, and candidates must hold a master's degree in behavioral health sciences along with relevant licenses.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed in the State of California as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC
- A master’s degree in behavioral health science
- Registered with Board of Behavioral Science (BBS)
- Demonstrated skills in clinical mental health services
- Experience with co-occurring substance use disorders
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to operate within Electronic Health Records (EHR) system
- Intermediate computer skills
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed as an L.M.F.T. or L.C.S.W. or L.P.C.C. for 2 years or more
- Ability to supervise clinical staff
- Take BBS approved courses to become a valid BBS Supervisor
Additional Requirements
- Must communicate effectively in written and spoken Spanish and/or Hmong
- Must assist with phone calls for Spanish and/or Hmong clients
- Minimal adequate competency in Spanish language is required
