Job Summary
Teach coping strategies and living skills such as hygiene, nutrition, and budgeting to support clients managing serious mental illness. Review client records, administer medications, and document all activities in an electronic medical record. Communicate with team members to navigate crisis situations, conduct hourly safety checks, and orient new clients to policies. Maintain confidentiality under HIPAA regulations while demonstrating compassion and cultural sensitivity. Complete daily documentation each shift and work from the program office with occasional community travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences (social work, psychology, or human services) or a related field from an accredited college or university
- 2,000 hours (1 year) of experience in the delivery of service to persons with mental illness
- Qualified as a mental health practitioner within the State of Minnesota
- At least 30 semester/45 quarter credits
- 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the provision of mental health services
- 4,000 hours of supervised experienced in the provision of mental health services
- Must not be actively receiving services from Guild
- Must not have received services within the last two years
- A valid Class 'D' Driver's License

- Current CPR/First Aid Certification
- Ability to pass a MN Department of Human Services background check
- Must be ambulatory and able to negotiate stairways
- The ability to lift and carry heavy weights that could be up to 25 pounds
- Casual/On-Call Days, Evenings and Overnight Shifts
- Travel may be required to other program sites

- Ability to develop and maintain receptive, open, and approachable lines of communication with clients and staff, and provide a friendly environment for visitors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including composing, proofreading, and editing

- Ability to work as a proactive and positive member of a team to deliver quality services
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of organization, personnel information, and client data
- Ability to use sound judgment and maintain healthy professional boundaries
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and set priorities
- Proficiency with a variety of web-based software and databases, including Microsoft Office Suite
