Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in a teen residential treatment facility, including medical monitoring, medication administration, withdrawal monitoring, and crisis intervention. Perform admission assessments, monitor vital signs, urinalysis and breathalyzer tests, educate clients on medications, collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, maintain accurate EHR documentation, and ensure safety and compliance. Respond promptly to medical emergencies with de-escalation techniques as needed, and drive client transportation as required. Requires an associate/bachelor’s degree in nursing (or LPN diploma), MD RN/LPN license in good standing, and willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check. This is a full-time, day-shift role with potential PRN opportunities and weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing (or LPN diploma)
- Active RN or LPN license in Maryland
- Experience with de-escalation techniques and handling behavioral crises
- Phlebotomy skills and experience handling specimens per medical protocols
- Experience in healthcare settings with mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders
- Ability to administer and educate patients about prescribed medications
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and maintaining electronic health records
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving history; willing to drive company van
- Background checks including criminal records and motor vehicle reports will be required
