Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in a teen residential treatment facility, including vital signs monitoring, withdrawal management, and medication administration. Conduct admissions assessments, document using electronic health records, oversee urinalysis and breathalyzer tests, and educate clients on medications. Mentor and support Behavioral/Mental Health Technicians; collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary team. Maintain safety and compliance with OSHA standards, de-escalate crises, respond to medical emergencies, and ensure accurate clinical documentation. Requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing or an LPN diploma with a valid Maryland RN/LPN license; 12.5-hour PRN shifts at a 24/7 facility in Crownsville, MD; background check and valid driver’s license required.
Required Qualifications
- RN or LPN license in Maryland in good standing
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing or LPN diploma
- Experience with de-escalation techniques and behavioral crises
- Phlebotomy skills
- Experience in mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders care
- Ability to drive company transport and hold valid driver’s license
- Background check clearance required
