Job Summary
Mental Health Medical Receptionist & Billing Virtual Assistant needed to support a growing mental health practice from a remote location. Responsible for patient scheduling, billing, prior authorizations, insurance verification, and front desk operations, including handling patient phone calls, managing administrative workflows, and assisting with billing-related tasks while maintaining a professional patient experience. Requires experience in healthcare settings (preferably mental health), familiarity with EHR/EMR systems (Tebra preferred), English fluency, and ability to complete background checks (NBI/Police) before onboarding; remote work with standard business hours in EDT and HIPAA/cybersecurity training provided. The role emphasizes scheduling, copay collection, insurance verification, and general administrative duties within a virtual assistant capacity for U.S. healthcare clients.
Required Qualifications
- Previous healthcare, medical office, or patient-facing experience preferred
- Experience with billing, prior authorizations, or insurance verification preferred
- Experience using EHR/EMR systems required
- Experience with Tebra is strongly preferred
- Mental health practice experience is a plus
- Previous virtual assistant experience preferred
- Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly
- Must have relevant work experience
- Be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding
- Must be available for video meetings with your camera on (when needed)
