Job Summary
Respond to calls related to mental health, substance abuse, and social service needs by providing immediate support and referrals to community members and law enforcement. Assist officers in stabilizing individuals and connecting them to appropriate care systems. Provide referrals for ongoing treatment for those who have used law enforcement as a primary service entry point to divert them to proper providers. Maintain a valid driver's license and use a personal vehicle for field operations. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, starting at $28.02.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in a related field
- Two years' experience in de-escalating crisis situations, mental health and substance use disorders and resources, and the criminal justice system
- Relevant lived experience
- Valid driver's license
- An acceptable driving record
- Use of a personal vehicle
