Job Summary
Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments, mental status evaluations, and specialized group counseling to meet client needs. Perform intake screenings, crisis counseling, and family counseling while developing treatment plans and making referrals. Maintain accurate client records compliant with regulatory requirements and facilitate in-service staff training. Serve as a liaison to community agencies and organizations to foster professional linkages. Adhere to social work standards, HIPAA privacy regulations, and agency policies throughout all interactions.
Required Qualifications
- MSW degree needed only for designated programs/divisions
- Must obtain LMSW-Permit within 90 days of hire and licensure within one year of employment for designated programs/divisions
- to obtain QHP (Qualified Health Professional) status within designated OASAS regulated programs
- NYS LMSW licensure for designated programs/divisions
- NYS LCSW licensure
- Experience working with DHS CARES Software
- Knowledge of multi-disciplinary team experience
- Knowledge of techniques for identifying and preventing potentially violent behavior, including crisis management techniques
- Ability to develop, evaluate, implement and modify a clinical treatment intervention to meet the needs of individual participants
- Competency in written, interpersonal, verbal and computational skills to present and document records in accordance with program standards
- Knowledgeable about federal, state and local law and regulation governing substance abuse treatment programs
