Mental Health Counselor- Bilingual English/Spanish

Job Summary
Provide professionally licensed mental health counseling services to assigned clients, conducting clinical assessments, rendering diagnoses, and delivering evidence-based therapy interventions. Complete timely intakes, initial assessment documentation, evidence-based treatment plans, progress notes within 48 business hours, and discharge summaries. Independently maintain an active caseload meeting productivity standards while participating in supervision meetings, case conferences, and staff training. Maintain professional continuing education to uphold licensure and engage in quality improvement activities including file auditing and HIPAA training. Develop and lead community education or therapy groups as directed. Work Monday through Friday for 35 hours per week, with some evening requirements and travel beyond the regularly scheduled workday. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a current NC license as a LCMHC, LCMHCA, LCSW, LMFT, or LPA
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills
- Skill to work and communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, clients, and the public
- Skill to provide mental health counseling services to clients in compliance with Agency philosophy, policy, procedures, and professional criteria
- Skill to participate in peer review and accountability
- Skill to prepare correspondence, records and reports
- Fluency, orally and in writing, in the English language and the language specified
- Ability to work beyond the regularly scheduled workday
- Availability for some evenings
