Job Summary
Oversee mental health services in the facility by providing clinical and administrative supervision and direction to the mental health staff. Plan, supervise, and manage clinical services while allocating resources to meet institutional needs. Provide mental health services to inmates and consult with facility personnel as needed. Coordinate with administrative staff to maintain confidentiality and develop corrective steps for quality care concerns. Requires independent licensure, leadership experience, and a Master's degree in psychology, social work, or behavioral science. Must maintain CPR certification and other required credentials.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in psychology, social work or behavioral science field
- Experience in the coordination and administration of mental health service delivery systems
- Coursework and professional experience that indicates knowledge of management/supervision techniques, mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of major mental disorders and/or psychological evaluation techniques
- Licensed to practice psychology or social work in the State by the appropriate state licensing board
- CPR certification
- Independent licensure
- Leadership experience
