Job Summary
Provide direct physical care, emotional support and educational resources to Mental Health patients under the supervision of the RN. Participate in all aspects of patient care to individual patients, building a safe, therapeutic milieu and supporting treatment plans. Respond to crises with therapeutic interventions and Code Green safety protocols; monitor and document patient status; assist with activities of daily living; facilitate structured activities, education or counseling; collect assessment data; communicate observations to the RN; support admissions and discharges; demonstrate de-escalation skills and knowledge of mental health diagnoses; maintain professional appearance and participate in staff meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social/psychological or related field
- BLS - Basic Life Support - Multisource required
- Certified by American Heart Association or Allina BLS by completion of orientation
- Code Green within 60 Days required
