Job Summary
Part-time Mental Health Consultant to service La Paz and Mohave Counties in Arizona. The role involves providing consultation within early care and education settings (center-based and home-based childcare centers, school district preschools, and home visiting programs), focusing on relationship-based work to support healthy caregiver-child attachment, trauma-informed strategies to promote child mental health, collaboration with childcare staff, directors, and families, and delivering training on social and emotional wellness topics. Preferred candidates will have knowledge of attachment theory and trauma-informed approaches, experience with children birth to five and their families, at least one year post-master’s clinical experience, knowledge of the NAEYC Code of Ethics, and licensure-eligibility in AZ. The position emphasizes capacity-building, professional development, and equity in early childhood mental health, with supervision and onboarding support included.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related.
- Degree must be eligible for licensure through the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
- Possess an insured & reliable vehicle and a valid AZ driver’s license.
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card - OR - must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- DES Criminal Affidavit Required
- AZ DHS Criminal History Affidavit Required
- FPC DPS Verification Required
