Job Summary
Mental Health Clinician provides virtual and in-person mental health services to children, adolescents and their families in First Nations communities to support Jordan’s Principle. Works in collaboration with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, nursing station staff, and community partners; duties include service requests triage and initial assessments, ongoing clinical interventions, and liaison with First Nation community resources. Role includes working in Winnipeg with some travel to First Nations communities across Manitoba; requires experience with developmental trauma, clinical assessment, individual/family/group therapies, play therapy, and systems intervention, with training in DBT/CBT or related models considered assets.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant health discipline from an accredited education institution required.
- Active member in good standing of an associated regulatory body as appropriate.
