Job Summary

Assess children and families to develop family-centered treatment plans and provide developmentally appropriate mental health treatment through individual, dyadic, and family therapy sessions. Coordinate care with child welfare workers, parents, and foster parents while conducting assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans in collaboration with caregivers. Deliver psychotherapy, intensive clinical case management, and crisis intervention through scheduled sessions, maintaining written records of all treatment and initial assessments. This role requires a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field with BBS or BOP licensure, local travel up to 90 miles within Alameda County, and a valid driver's license. The position is full-time, exempt, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with hybrid work options subject to supervisor approval.

Required Qualifications

  • MSW, MA, PhD or PsyD from accredited school of social work or psychology
  • Licensed or registered with BBS or BOP
  • Excellent clinical and writing skills
  • Direct experience working with diverse racial and ethnic populations
  • Understanding of basic theoretical and developmental principles of infant, early childhood, adolescent, young adult and family mental health
  • Ability to understand psychological assessment reports
  • Psychological assessment experience
  • Must have a car and good driving record
  • Understanding DSM, DC: 0-3R, and treatment plans
  • Ability to work independently and to work as a member of a team
  • Excellent organizational, computer and communication skills
  • Ability to pass various background checks needed to work with children
  • Must be able to lift and move boxes or office supplies up to 20 pounds
  • Close vision for computer work and reading
  • Local travel to various worksites and local schools is required, up to 90 miles within Alameda County
  • Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and obtaining TB and health clearances
  • Comply with the organization's vaccination requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to understand psychological assessment reports; psychological assessment experience a plus for psychologist applicants
  • Understanding and desire to work with a strength-based mental health approach
  • Knowledge, understanding, and willingness to work with interdisciplinary approaches and partnerships
