Job Summary
Provide ongoing therapeutic services to adults, children, and families across multiple settings (Behavioral Health Counseling Center, medical clinic, school, and community). Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, conducting comprehensive assessments, coordinating with Medicaid and other payers, and delivering evidence-based interventions. Work within an interdisciplinary treatment team to support client goals; maintain client confidentiality (HIPAA/HITECH); demonstrate cultural sensitivity, especially with Alaska Natives. Additional duties include crisis interventions, documentation, coordination with community professionals, transportation assistance as needed, and pursuing CPR/First Aid certification within one month of hire. This is a full-time role with typical Monday–Friday hours and potential after-hours emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- A Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, or counseling is required.
- It is preferred that the candidate be licensed in Alaska or another state. An Alaska license is required within six months of employment.
- A minimum of one year of experience providing psychotherapy or counseling services to adults, children, and adolescents working in a clinical environment under supervision.
