Job Summary
This position seeks a Mental Health Aide II responsible for supporting individuals with mental health challenges in a secure residential treatment facility. Essential duties include implementing treatment plans, providing care, and documentation, with a focus on a supportive recovery environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED/Equivalent for Mental Health Aide I
- Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science field or three years of relevant experience for Mental Health Aide II
- Demonstrate competencies to become credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA)
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Trauma Informed Care (TIC)
- Basic understanding of recovery models
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a residential mental health setting
- Providing skills training services
Additional Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Residents must either be under commitment or have a guardian
