Job Summary
Conduct daily salesfloor operations by re-merchandising, sizing, and straightening apparel to maintain a "runway ready" environment. Assist customers with cashiering transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms while operating point-of-sale systems and handling bulky merchandise. Support the fitting room experience by greeting guests, assisting with selections, and sorting returned clothing back to the salesfloor. Maintain organized stockrooms by checking in merchandise and ensuring accurate ticketing while adhering to asset protection standards. Work a flexible schedule involving continuous movement for 6-8 hours, lifting items up to 25 pounds, and collaborating with teammates to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Required Qualifications
- Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills
- Accountability, initiative and a high level of ownership
- Organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift
- Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items
- Reaching for and lifting items above the head
- Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds
- Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
- Adhere to all operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
- Promote initiatives like our Nordstrom Rewards program
