Job Summary
MEMS Wafer Fab Metrology Engineer at HP Singapore responsible for developing, sustaining, and optimizing metrology solutions to enable high yield, process control, and successful NPI for HP inkjet technologies. Lead metrology process sustaining and NPI production activities, troubleshoot excursions, and collaborate with equipment teams on metrology tool qualification and upgrades (Fogale, CyberOptics). Develop, transfer, and qualify metrology recipes; conduct experiments and analyze results to ensure measurement capability and data quality. Drive measurement system integrity via GR&R, correlation, and tool matching; establish SPC/SPACE compliance; standardize procedures for repeatability and scalability across fab operations. Support metrology BC planning, recipe portability, CIP projects, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve yield improvement and robust production ramp. Emphasizes ownership, global teamwork, cleanroom readiness, and willingness to travel overseas as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline
- Proven experience (3–5 years) in semiconductor wafer fab or MEMS manufacturing environment, preferably in metrology or process engineering
- Strong understanding of metrology concepts including GR&R, SPC, SPACE, correlation, and data analysis
- Hands-on experience with optical or vision-based metrology systems (e.g., Fogale, CyberOptics, or equivalent) will be advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex process and measurement issues
- Good project management skills including experiment planning, risk assessment, timeline management, and prioritization
- High degree of ownership and accountability with ability to manage both sustaining and development workstreams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work across cross-functional and global teams
- Agile and adaptable mindset to support fast-paced NPI and high-volume manufacturing environment
- Self-driven, result-oriented, and a strong team player
- Able to work in cleanroom environment
- Able to support overseas collaboration/travel when required
