Job Summary
Conduct direct care for residents in Aspen, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and mobility assistance. Support eating and drinking, offer snacks and hydration, and provide redirection and de-escalation techniques for cognitive impairments. Record vital signs, report eating habits, and assist with admissions, transfers, and death procedures. Administer medications per physician orders, maintain accurate records, and ensure a clean, safe environment. Change linens, wash laundry, and respond promptly to resident requests or emergencies. Monitor resident location and notify supervisors if residents are unlocated. Work assigned evening and weekend rotations, adhering to the code of conduct and performing assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Direct Care Staff certification
- Minimum of 6 hours of dementia education annually
- Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and comprehension
- Demonstrates respect, integrity, compassion, and excellence
- Commitment to person-centered care practices
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain positive relationships
- Flexible schedule with willingness to work extra hours as needed
- Work all assigned tours of duty
- Abide by the organization's code of conduct
