Memory Compiler Support and Development Lead

Job Summary

Own definition, quality, and delivery support for multiple memory compilers across AMD products. Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, and firmware teams to translate feature and timing requirements. Lead discussions with third-party vendors on next-generation memory needs while ensuring sufficient silicon validation. Drive in-house memory compiler development for specialized applications. Maintain compliance with AMD's stringent functionality, performance, and technology standards to prevent customer issues. This role involves managing SRAM and ROM compiler IPs within the broader AMD design ecosystem, shaping future product roadmaps through direct engagement with external suppliers and internal engineering groups.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficient understanding of ROM/SRAM/TCAM architecture, operation, and requirements
  • Expertise in basic Memory validation - including DFM, DRC, ERC, Functionality, LVS, Spice Checks, Trend Analysis
  • Experience in enhanced Memory validation - including EMIR analysis, Physical Integration, Rout ability, and Spice Characterization
  • Working knowledge of Verilog, liberty files, spice simulation, and ASIC design flows
  • Comfortable with script programming, such as, C-shell, Makefile, Perl, or TCL languages in a UNIX environment
  • Memory (compiler) and physical design
